BOOKSHELF: AUGUST 2024
A quick overview of the last books, some paper some audio, I fell in love with recently.
- Be Useful, by Arnold Schwarzenegger
- Alonement, by Francesca Specter
- Atomic Habits, by James Clear
- The Daily Stoic, by Ryan Holiday & Stephen Hanselman
GOOD FOR A GIRL
I wanted this book to be the first to feature in this section because of how much I could relate to it - despite not being a professional athlete.
DO HARD THINGS
I remember the exact day when it happened. I am not sure what did it, but something clicked and I realised I was “selling myself short”. For whatever reason, I had put myself in a corner.
THE KEY TO PRIORITISING…
All you need is to write a narrative with a logic that makes sense to you.
I find this a lot easier and way more effective than trying to arbitrarily determine if vacuuming is more urgent or important than putting away the wash.
THE BRENÉ BROWN TRILOGY
I first came across Brené Brown 8 years ago. And she's changed my life, no exaggeration here.
WHAT DRIVES YOU TO WORRY?
"Do not be afraid to speak your truth. If you can't say no to what you don't want, you will never have the time and the energy for what you do want"
Isabelle Mercier is not only good fun to watch, but so damn right!
